Development Story

Computerease Limited is a 26 year old software firm, specializing in the design, development and support of Payroll, Human Resource and Scheduling applications for the Health Care and Private Industry. Computerease added the Ease-E-Club (Fitness Club Management) system to their suite of applications about 5 years ago and can draw from an experienced pool of technical people and design expertise to provide support and enhancements to this new product.

The original Fitness Club Management system was developed for a local Fitness Studio and has grown over the past 5 years to include functions and features needed by larger health clubs and wellness facilities. The prime design criteria has always been to provide an easy to learn and use system while including all the functions needed to enhance the retention of members and provide necessary management reporting.

After using the system for a couple of months, the original Fitness Facility kept telling us that there were very few Fitness Club Software packages available like ours and that we should advertise and market it to the fitness industry. After doing the normal Internet searches, we found they was correct and put up an Internet site and sent out a couple hundred brochures. The response has been totally unexpected. Within 12 months we sold over 300 copies, all over Canada, the US and Europe. Over the past 4+ years more than 1,500 sites have acquired the Ease-E-Club application, making it one of the fastest growing fitness club management systems on the market.

Clients like the simplicity of the system which allows even non-computer types to be comfortable with the system.

More non traditional fitness facilities like Chiropractors, community pools, physiotherapists, Personal Trainers, Yoga studios, hair dressers, boxing clubs, gun clubs and night clubs are using the system every day. Anywhere that a company needs to track members and manage regular payments the Ease-E-Club application can be used.

We like the fact that we can offer the system to clients at an affordable price, without charging a monthly fee to keep it going. And, because it is easy to use, there are very few calls and we can still offer free support to all clients. Our only charge after the orginal purchase is a small annual subscription that provides 12 more months of free upgrades and support. Our product development is driven by feedback and suggestions from many clients and we like the feeling of working together to build a superior product.
